New Admin platform released May 11th: 35% adoption in week one!

An email was sent to our existing customers on May 11th, excerpts are below:

New “Responsive” Administrative Version

We are pleased to announce our new, responsive Administrative platform to manage your online business. This has been a 16 month effort by our team with over 14,000 development hours, effectively changing over 600 user screens. Our goal was to make the transition from our legacy version to this new one easy for existing users to adopt, so you should find the functionality to be generally the same, albeit with some necessary changes.

Our enhancements include:

  • Responsive design that works on all devices; manage your store from a phone or tablet!
  • Improved user experience (UX) to improve navigation (i.e., reduce clicks to process orders, view more information on a screen)
  • New design and colors to be more aesthetically pleasing
  • Notifications (in real-time) for orders, inventory alerts, blog comments and more.
  • “UPS Ready” enhancements to support their 8,000 access points for shipments (a separate announcement will be made on this upgrade)
  • AmazonPay replacing Checkout by Amazon

When should you make the switch?

This Admin has been used for over 45 days by existing merchants and the feedback has been constructive and positive. We highly encourage you to convert and believe with a day of using the new platform you will find it more intuitive and easier to use than the legacy version.

Can the legacy version still be used?

Yes. You can try the new version and have the ability to convert back to the legacy platform.  However, be advised that the legacy version will sunset at the end of 2017. Any client that has not adopted the new platform will be automatically converted (all your data is maintained and immediately available in the new version). Effective immediately, all new development efforts and new integrations to 3rd party applications will only be on our new Admin so there are certainly advantages to adopting the new version now.

If I have custom code and functionality in the current version, is it also available in the new version? Yes.

How do you start using the new Admin? In your existing legacy Admin, click  "Try New Layout"’ at the top of the main page. If you need to change back to the legacy version from the new version, the link can be found on the left side of the page.
